I am Geun-Taek Gong, a senior manager working at the company-affiliated research institute of 'POWER AUTOMATION,' which develops and manufactures the 'i-Series,' a hybrid parts assembly robot that is a key component for intelligent unmanned processes.
At the company-affiliated research institute, I develop hybrid parts assembly robot equipment and am responsible for system design and research.
MeshFree was introduced to conduct structural analysis (static and modal analysis) of frames. Our equipment, being high-speed robotic systems, is significantly affected by vibration characteristics. In the early development models, creating the equipment without structural analysis posed many difficulties.
Especially to manage vibrations, we had to add weight reinforcements to the frames, which caused issues in the manufacturing process and costs. To address this, we adopted MeshFree for structural analysis, which allowed us to reduce costs and weight when actually producing the frames. Since adopting MeshFree, we have developed two new models, both achieving excellent results..
We spent a lot of time considering which CAE program would be the most efficient. Eventually, we chose MeshFree due to its specialized analysis methods, accessibility, and versatility. For developers, time is money, so MeshFree, which is easy for anyone to use, was the best choice.

However, since adopting MeshFree, we can save time with rapid analysis, allowing for comprehensive reviews and producing products with secured stability by easily analyzing issues.
